Jimmy Eugene Monk
Jimmy Eugene Monk, 69, of Harper, died Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Graveside services and interment were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the Lively Family Cemetery at Doss.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home.
Monk was born Feb. 14, 1951, in Palestine, the son of Arthur Monk and Evelyn Pruitt Monk. He married Sharon Lively on Feb. 15, 1976, and she survives.
He worked as a mechanic all his life.
In addition to his wife, Monk is survived by four daughters and spouses, Nickie and Josh Whiteley of Ingram, Christina and Kelton Kramer of Harper, Sarah and Jacob St. Pierre of Fredericksburg, and Amy Monk of Madisonville.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gladys Lively; one brother; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include a sister-in-law, Sandra Rietz, and three brothers-in-law and spouses, Gary and Linda Lively, Lamar and Gini Lively and David and Carol Lively, and one brother.
Monk was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Wallace Lively; a brother-in-law, Roger Rietz; four grandchildren, one half-brother, and one half-sister.
Pallbearers included Zachary Monk, Jeremiah Monk, James Wells, Isaiah St. Pierre, David Lively, Lamar Lively, Kelton Kramer Jr., Jake St. Pierre and Josh Whiteley.
Honorary pallbearers included Brandon Lively, Calder Lively, Travis Lively, Gary Lively and Garrett Lively.
Memorials may be made to the Dale Friedrich Ministry or the charity of choice.
